When we bought our home we knew that we needed to put an a fence and landscape the whole back yard. We finally got approval to start working on it and so on Saturday we did. We put in a order for wood while we were in Vegas and had set a day for them to deliver. On Friday all the wood for our home and the two homes next to us was delivered. Bright and early Jared headed out to start working on the fence. My family came up from Kent to help with the task. We were hoping for better weather but knew it was going to rain. Luckily the rain held out for most of the day with light drizzles every now and then. Along one side and the back side the fence is up with some minor items to complete on it. Some of the boards were too big so they have to be cut down to size and the post caps and detail work needs to be finished and then on the other side of the yard the frame is up with the slats to go up this weekend. Next on the list, Jared has to make two gates maybe just one if that seems complicated. After the fence is done the landscaping will begin. We will put in a couple planters in the far back of the yard and then Jared will put in piping for sprinklers. Then we will bring in lots of dirt and either seed or lay sod. We have tons to do but for the most part the big project is done.
A HUGE Thank You to my family for taking time out to come up and help us with the fence. Any takers to come help this weekend ;-) We owe you all big time.... how about a summer BBQ when its all done?
Can't wait to finally use our backyard and enjoy!
